On the 15 th of August 2024, SVGU commemorated India’s 78 th Independence Day at Chimanbhai Patel Institute Campus. This year also marks the 25 th Anniversary – Silver Jubilee - commemorating the Kargil Vijay Diwas which was remembered by everyone present for the event. The Chief Guest of the day was Shri. Siddharth Patel Sir who gave an enlightening speech on the youth of India and the advancement of the nation in the hands of the youth. The event began with a speech about Independent India and Kargil Vijay Diwas, followed by the National Song. Cadets then led the Shri. Siddharth Patel to the pole where he hoisted the Indian Flag. With a strong and patriotic salute, the Chief Guest, Directors, Faculty members, administrative staff and the students sang the Flag song. The closing of the event began with everyone singing the Indian National Anthem followed by the offering of sweets.
The Annual Prize Distribution Day is a significant event in our Institute's calendar, marking the culmination of a year's worth of hardwork and achievements. This event recognizes the outstanding efforts of students in various fields, including academics, sports, and extracurricular activities. Guest of Honer was Dr. Hardik Soni, Director MCA. On the 20th of July 2024, the students at Sardar Vallabhbhai Global University celebrated Guru Purnima for their professors and admin staffs. The celebration began with Ganesh Vandana by students followed by Lamp lighting by the directors of various institutes. Students also arranged a small performance for entertainment. After the performance, the students had arranged a couple of games for the professors wherein they all participated and won prizes. What made the event special was the enthusiasm shown by the students, specially by the volunteers who coordinated and made it a success. The dedication by the students shows the bonds developed between the professors and the students. The celebration was concluded with the plantation of samplings, symbolically showing growth and nurture.
The orientation session for Integrated Masters of Computer Application students at Sardar Vallabhbhai Global University aimed to familiarize incoming students with the program structure, university facilities, academic expectations, and resources available to support their academic journey.
The Integrated MCA student orientation at SVGU successfully equipped incoming students with the information and resources essential for a smooth transition into university life. By fostering a welcoming environment and providing comprehensive information, the orientation set a positive tone for the beginning of their academic journey in the IT field.
This orientation not only addressed immediate concerns but also instilled a sense of belonging and readiness among the incoming Integrated MCA students at SVGU.
International Yoga Day Celebration at Sardar Vallabhbhai Global University
The celebration of International Yoga Day aims to bring about positive outcomes such as increased awareness and adoption of yoga, promotion of health and well-being, global unity, stress reduction, cultural exchange, and environmental consciousness. iMCA program of CPICA organized a three days’ workshop on Dynamic website development using WordPress. The workshop aimed to equip participants with practical skills in creating dynamic and responsive websites.
The team from industry was invited to deliver the content of the workshop. Students had hands-on experience on Figma, Bootstrap and WordPress. It was conducted for the first-year students, so the content was also designed keeping in view that they are beginners in the field of website designing.

The program outcomes (POs) for the Integrated Master of Computer Applications (iMCA) program are as follows:
PO1: Computer knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, computer fundamentals and specialization to the solution of complex problems.
PO2: Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex computer science problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and computer sciences.
PO3: Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex computer science problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for cultural, social environment.
PO4: Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
PO5: Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern IT tools including prediction and modelling to complex activities with an understanding of the limitations.

The Integrated Master of Computer Applications (iMCA) course provides in-depth knowledge to design and construct better computer applications and software. It is a full-time, 5 years (10 semesters) Programme that provides students an opportunity to gain both theoretical and practical knowledge.
