Integrated MCA department under CPICA, Sardar Vallabhbhai Global University (SVGU), has always taken affirmative actions to bridge the gap between advanced and intermediate learners and provide a viable learning atmosphere wherein individual students can benefit and grow according to their learning capacities. The attention given by the institute in this regard is one of its kind and ensures systematic methods for student learning. Along with common directions followed by the university, each institute takes elaborate measures to enhance student learning according to their subject specificities with a concept of Peer Learning (PL). It is one of the positive steps taken to bridge the gap between Advanced and Beginners to learn new innovative concepts from their fellow mates or seniors. The idea behind the PLs is to create effective student-centric and student-initiated learning spaces wherein learners, irrespective of their learning capacity, could come together and participate in the learning process.
The very first of its kind was organized on 16th December, 2024, Monday for the students of First Year Integrated MCA by the students of Second Year Integrated MCA in the form of a workshop on learning and teaching advanced concepts in HTML, CSS and JavaScript. It was conducted by four students who took an initiative to bridge the gap between them being advanced learners and their juniors being beginners. The workshop was conducted in the BCA Lab with hands-on practical sessions from 8:00 am to 10:00 am.
The institute director, Prof. Dr. Vishal Dahiya motivated the students to roll out such workshops on a frequent basis. The faculty coordinator Dr. Disha Parekh, appreciated the students, Mr. Jeet Pitale, Mr. Abbas Baman, Mr. Shahid Sheikh and Mr. Mustafa Khericha on flawless conduction of the workshop. Event was coordinated by Ms. Jignasha Rajput and Mr. Jay Patel with outstanding enthusiasm.
