Sardar Vallabhbhai Global University (SVGU) hosted a distinguished celebration on February 7th, 2025, to honor the outstanding achievements of its academic scholars and exceptional athletes. This event, a true reflection of the university’s commitment to excellence, recognized the prestigious Merit Scholarship Awardees for the academic year 2023-24
The occasion commenced with a gracious welcome, celebrating the dedication and perseverance of the students in both academic and athletic pursuits. The Merit Scholarship Awards, which cover one semester’s fees, were presented to the brightest minds, acknowledging their academic brilliance. Shri Siddharth C. Patel, the esteemed President of SVGU, was joined by the Directors of various academic programs in presenting these prestigious awards. Together, they emphasized the value of hard work and intellectual achievement in shaping a brighter future.

Faculty Development Program (FDP) - Scholar's Toolkit: AI Integration and Writing Excellence

The Faculty Development Program (FDP) titled "Scholar's Toolkit: AI Integration and Writing Excellence" was held by the Ph.D. Cell of SVGU for the Ph.D. Scholars and its faculty members. The event aimed to provide academic professionals with insights and practical tools for enhancing their research writing skills and integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into their research processes. The program featured two highly informative sessions:

● Session 1: Academic Writing in Research, led by Dr. Kedar Bhatt
● Session 2: Usage of AI Tools in Research, led by Dr. Nidhi Arora

The celebration took place over three days, from 31st January 2025 to 3rd February 2025, featuring various theme-based events:
Day 1: Group Day/ Character Day 
Activities:
•    Ramp Walk – Students dressed as different characters and communities.
•    Best Out of Waste – Encouraged sustainability and innovation.
•    Wall Painting – Displayed artistic skills through mural painting.
Day 2: Traditional Day/ Cultural Day/ Retro Day 
Activities:
•    Ramp Walk – Highlighted different traditional attires.
•    Reel Making Competition – Focused on storytelling and creativity.
•    Poster Making (India 2050/Viksit Bharat) – Encouraged futuristic vision and patriotism.
Day 3: Halloween Day/ Signature Day
Activities:
•    Best Photography Competition – Capturing campus life and themes.
•    Face Painting Competition – Showcased students' artistic skills.

industrial visit to the i-Hub incubation centre

SVGU organised an industrial visit to the i-Hub incubation centre run by Gujarat University for Ph.D. scholars and faculty members. This was a great experience, as it provided valuable insights into the financial assistance they provided for raw entrepreneurs. This is a motivating initiative of SSIP (Student Startup and Innovation Policy).

Seminar on Cyber Security Awareness

Organized by: SVGU in collaboration with the Ahmedabad District Education Office

A seminar on Cyber Security Awareness was successfully conducted at SVGU on the 10th of January. The event aimed to educate and inform principals and teachers of science schools from Ahmedabad's rural and urban areas about the significance of cyber security in today’s digital age. The seminar witnessed the participation of 120 attendees, comprising an enthusiastic and engaged audience.

The program was graced by Mr. R. M. Chaudhari, DEO Ahmedabad Urban, as the Guest of Honor, and Professor Digvijaysinh Rathod, a distinguished faculty member of NFSU, as the Guest Speaker.

The event commenced with a formal welcome address, followed by an introduction to the seminar’s objectives. Mr. R. M. Chaudhari highlighted the growing importance of cyber awareness in the education sector, especially for educators responsible for guiding the next generation.

Professor Digvijaysinh Rathod delivered an enlightening session on various aspects of cyber security, including:

-Identifying cyber threats and vulnerabilities.

-Best practices for safeguarding personal and institutional data.

-Understanding cyber laws and ethical practices.

-The role of educators in promoting cyber safety among students.

The interactive session provided participants with practical insights and strategies to tackle cyber risks effectively. Educators actively engaged with the speaker, posing questions and sharing their concerns, which were addressed with valuable solutions.

The seminar was a significant step toward fostering cyber security awareness among educators, ensuring they are well-equipped to handle the challenges of the digital era.

Dandiya Ramzat 2K24

Sardar Vallabhbhai Global University (SVGU) organized and celebrated - Navratri Dandiya Ramzat 2k24 on the 5th of October 2024. The celebration was planned and executed by the Cultural Committee with the support of all the members of the SVGU family. The traditional occasion of Navratri began at 6pm on the college campus grounds and was successfully completed by midnight. 
As a part of this cultural festival, the college organized Aarti Thali Competition where students from all institutes participated and won various prizes. The Aarti Thali Competition was held on 3rd October and the thali of the winners were used to offer aarti on the pooja ceremony on 5th. 
Apart from an energy packed audience, students also were awarded for the following categories: Best Performance & Best Costume from each institute. Top 3 students were selected from each category from all the institutes.
The college also arranged an Instagram Post Competition wherein students had to upload a photo they clicked on the campus ground on the day of Navratri which was to be uploaded on or before 6th noon. Those photos which received maximum number of likes were awarded prizes. 1st prize was bagged by BCA student, 2nd prize by BBA student and 3rd prize by MBA.
Food stalls too were arranged to offer refreshments to everyone who needed an energy boost. But what made this occasion joyous and memorable was not just the competitions and food but also the energy expressed by the students while performing garba. Everywhere there was a rhythm, a rhythm, though different but united by the sound of garba.
 

WORKSHOP on A Hands-on UI/UX Workshop - MCA Programme

On September 28, 2024, the MCA department at Sardar Vallabhbhai Global University, Shri Chimanbhai Patel Post Graduate Institute of Computer Applications, held an interactive workshop on UI/UX design. 
The session was led by Mr. Jignesh Rudani from Atharva System, who provided an in-depth understanding of the UI/UX process. The participants were guided through the essential concepts of wireframing and prototyping, gaining practical insights into creating user-centered designs from initial concept to clickable prototypes. The workshop offered students valuable experience in modern design techniques, emphasizing the importance of user experience in digital product development.

Workshop on MongoDB, Node.js, and Express.js -MCA Programme

On September 06, 2024, the MCA department at Sardar Vallabhbhai Global University, Shri Chimanbhai Patel Post Graduate Institute of Computer Applications, hosted an engaging session on MongoDB, Node.js, and Express.js. 
The session was led by Mr. Alkesh Kaba from CreArt Solutions, providing participants with valuable insights and hands-on experience in modern web development techniques. The workshop covered essential aspects of building dynamic web applications using the MERN stack, emphasizing practical implementation and industry-relevant skills.

WORKSHOP on ASP.net MVC and Angular JS

On August 22, 2024, the MCA department at Sardar Vallabhbhai Global University, Shri Chimanbhai Patel Post Graduate Institute of Computer Applications, hosted an engaging session on the Angular Framework. 
The session, led by Mr. Abhinav Pisharody, AVP and Technical Architect at Brain Payroll, provided participants with a comprehensive overview of Angular JS. With over 8 years of experience in full-stack development, Abhinav expertly guided students through key topics, including setting up the environment, creating components, services, and routing. The session offered valuable insights and hands-on experience in modern web development techniques.
 

Independence day Celebration

On the 15 th of August 2024, SVGU commemorated India’s 78 th Independence Day at Chimanbhai Patel Institute Campus. This year also marks the 25 th Anniversary – Silver Jubilee - commemorating the Kargil Vijay Diwas which was remembered by everyone present for the event. The Chief Guest of the day was Shri. Siddharth Patel Sir who gave an enlightening speech on the youth of India and the advancement of the nation in the hands of the youth. The event began with a speech about Independent India and Kargil Vijay Diwas, followed by the National Song. Cadets then led the Shri. Siddharth Patel to the pole where he hoisted the Indian Flag. With a strong and patriotic salute, the Chief Guest, Directors, Faculty members, administrative staff and the students sang the Flag song. The closing of the event began with everyone singing the Indian National Anthem followed by the offering of sweets.

Workshop on ASP.NET with MVC

On August 13, 2024, the MCA department at Sardar Vallabhbhai Global University, Shri Chimanbhai Patel Post Graduate Institute of Computer Applications, hosted an engaging session on advanced web framework. 
Mr. Suhas Joyous, Sr. AVP at BrainPayroll, delivered an insightful session on the ASP.NET MVC Framework, covering its structure, controllers, views, models, data binding techniques, routing, and action filters. 

Workshop on Amazon AWS Services

On August 10, 2024, the MCA department at Sardar Vallabhbhai Global University, Shri Chimanbhai Patel Post Graduate Institute of Computer Applications, hosted a comprehensive AWS workshop led by Mr. Divyesh Parmar, DevOps Engineer at Sufalam Technologies Pvt. Ltd. The event offered participants a thorough exploration of AWS Infrastructure Design and Implementation, including key areas such as Monitoring and Optimization, Disaster Recovery and Backup Solutions, and Security and Compliance. A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Parmar for sharing his expertise and to all the students who actively participated!

WEB TESTING BOOTCAMP for MCA Students

On 2nd August 2024, the MCA department at Sardar Vallabhbhai Global University, Shri Chimanbhai Patel Post Graduate Institute of Computer Applications, hosted a comprehensive Web Testing Bootcamp conducted by STAD Solutions. The event provided participants with in-depth knowledge of both manual and automated testing, including hands-on experience in creating automated test scripts and bug reports on live applications.

Workshop on CYBER SECURITY TACTICS for MCA Students

On July 20 and 27, 2024, the MCA department at Sardar Vallabhbhai Global University, Shri Chimanbhai Patel Post Graduate Institute of Computer Applications, hosted comprehensive Cyber Security Tactics workshop conducted by Web light Solutions. The event provided participants with a deep understanding of network enumeration and penetration testing using tools like Kali Linux, OpenVAS, DVWA, and Burp Suite.

Guru Purnima Celebration

On the 20th of July 2024, the students at Sardar Vallabhbhai Global University celebrated Guru Purnima for their professors and admin staffs. The celebration began with Ganesh Vandana by students followed by Lamp lighting by the directors of various institutes. Students also arranged a small performance for entertainment. After the performance, the students had arranged a couple of games for the professors wherein they all participated and won prizes. What made the event special was the enthusiasm shown by the students, specially by the volunteers who coordinated and made it a success. The dedication by the students shows the bonds developed between the professors and the students. The celebration was concluded with the plantation of samplings, symbolically showing growth and nurture.

The celebration of International Yoga Day aims to bring about positive outcomes such as increased awareness and adoption of yoga, promotion of health and well-being, global unity, stress reduction, cultural exchange, and environmental consciousness. Video Making and Poster Making Competition

The Women Development Cell of the MCA Department at Sardar Vallabhbhai Global University organized a Video Making and Poster Making Competition on 23-March-2024 under the theme "Together We Rise: Women's Achievement and Challenges." This event celebrated women's artistic talents and voices, providing a platform for empowerment and expression through creative mediums. Dr. Vishal Dahiya's keynote speech highlighted the accomplishments and challenges faced by women across various spheres. With 25 enthusiastic participants from the MCA department, the event saw registrations in both categories. Winners were announced based on creativity, originality, and relevance to the theme.

Days Celebration at SVGU Campus by MCA Students

The College Days at SVGU Campus for MCA students were held from January 23rd to 25th, 2024.
The event spanned three themed days: Retro/Mismatch/Bollywood Days on the 23rd, Executive Day on the 24th, and Traditional Day on the 25th of January.
Each day featured a variety of activities, including cultural performances and recreational events, aimed at fostering inclusivity and holistic development among the students. Overall, the event successfully provided a platform for MCA students to exhibit their talents while promoting a vibrant campus culture.
