Sardar Vallabhbhai Global University (SVGU) organized and celebrated - Navratri Dandiya Ramzat 2k24 on the 5th of October 2024. The celebration was planned and executed by the Cultural Committee with the support of all the members of the SVGU family. The traditional occasion of Navratri began at 6pm on the college campus grounds and was successfully completed by midnight.
As a part of this cultural festival, the college organized Aarti Thali Competition where students from all institutes participated and won various prizes. The Aarti Thali Competition was held on 3rd October and the thali of the winners were used to offer aarti on the pooja ceremony on 5th.
Apart from an energy packed audience, students also were awarded for the following categories: Best Performance & Best Costume from each institute. Top 3 students were selected from each category from all the institutes.
The college also arranged an Instagram Post Competition wherein students had to upload a photo they clicked on the campus ground on the day of Navratri which was to be uploaded on or before 6th noon. Those photos which received maximum number of likes were awarded prizes. 1st prize was bagged by BCA student, 2nd prize by BBA student and 3rd prize by MBA.
Food stalls too were arranged to offer refreshments to everyone who needed an energy boost. But what made this occasion joyous and memorable was not just the competitions and food but also the energy expressed by the students while performing garba. Everywhere there was a rhythm, a rhythm, though different but united by the sound of garba.
On September 5th, 2024, Teacher's Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy at SVGU's B.Tech program to honor the invaluable contributions of teachers. A special lecture session was organized, featuring Prof. Kiran R Parmar, a retired professor from GEC – Gandhinagar, who delivered a lecture on "Engineering Studies: The Students’ Perspective." The event underscored the crucial role that students have in shaping young minds and fostering a bright future. Insights into the B. Tech program, student opportunities, roles, and real-life challenges were discussed. The students actively engaged in the session, interacting and making the day memorable for everyone.
First “National Space Day” was celebrated with great enthusiasm at SVGU B.Tech program on 23rd August,2024. Students actively participated, showcasing their knowledge and creativity through captivating posters on themes like "Exploring the Cosmos," "Life Beyond Earth," and "Space Innovations." The poster competition featured remarkable innovation and imagination, with winners receiving exciting prizes and well-deserved recognition. The event not only ignited curiosity about space but also fostered a deeper appreciation for the advancements in space technology, making it a day filled with learning and inspiration.
On the 15 th of August 2024, SVGU commemorated India’s 78 th Independence Day at Chimanbhai Patel Institute Campus. This year also marks the 25 th Anniversary – Silver Jubilee - commemorating the Kargil Vijay Diwas which was remembered by everyone present for the event. The Chief Guest of the day was Shri. Siddharth Patel Sir who gave an enlightening speech on the youth of India and the advancement of the nation in the hands of the youth. The event began with a speech about Independent India and Kargil Vijay Diwas, followed by the National Song. Cadets then led the Shri. Siddharth Patel to the pole where he hoisted the Indian Flag. With a strong and patriotic salute, the Chief Guest, Directors, Faculty members, administrative staff and the students sang the Flag song. The closing of the event began with everyone singing the Indian National Anthem followed by the offering of sweets.
On the 20th of July 2024, the students at Sardar Vallabhbhai Global University celebrated Guru Purnima for their professors and admin staffs. The celebration began with Ganesh Vandana by students followed by Lamp lighting by the directors of various institutes. Students also arranged a small performance for entertainment. After the performance, the students had arranged a couple of games for the professors wherein they all participated and won prizes. What made the event special was the enthusiasm shown by the students, specially by the volunteers who coordinated and made it a success. The dedication by the students shows the bonds developed between the professors and the students. The celebration was concluded with the plantation of samplings, symbolically showing growth and nurture.
International Yoga Day Celebration at Sardar Vallabhbhai Global University
The celebration of International Yoga Day aims to bring about positive outcomes such as increased awareness and adoption of yoga, promotion of health and well-being, global unity, stress reduction, cultural exchange, and environmental consciousness. B. Tech. Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) is an academic program at SVG University - UCP Institute of Technology. B.Tech. (CSE) academic programs typically include a combination of topics in Computer Science and Computer Engineering. B.Tech.(CSE) is a full time 4-year programme. B.Tech.(CSE) programme follows a semester pattern, with a total of eight semesters. The curriculum is designed as per the guidelines of the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
B.Tech.(CSE) include programming, algorithms and data structures, computer architecture, operating systems, Advance OS, computer networks, Advanced Computer Network Programming, Parallels Computing, Distributed Computing , Design and analysis, digital logic and processor design, Advanced Microprocessor and Interfacing, computer graphics, Language Processor and Translators , Software Engineering, Advanced database Management Systems, Web Based Application, Cloud Computing & Deployment, Advance JS Web Design, Python Programming.
CSE programs also include core subjects of theoretical computer science such as theory of computation, numerical methods, machine learning, programming theory, Also cover emerging computing fields like image processing, Data Science , Artificial Intelligence and “AI & ML”.
Most CSE programs require introductory mathematical knowledge, hence the first year of study is dominated by mathematical courses, primarily discrete mathematics, mathematical analysis, linear algebra, probability, and statistics, as well as the introduction to physics and electrical and electronic engineering.
The programme will give advance and emerging technological knowledge with the specialized subjects that students can choose during the programme. The programme aims to provide experimental learning based on case study / Live projects of emerging trends.

The Program Educational Objectives (PEOs) for B.Tech program are as follows:
PEO1: To produce graduates who have a strong foundation of knowledge and skills in the field of computer science and engineering.
PEO2: To produce graduates who are employable in industries/public sector/research organizations or work as an entrepreneur.
