On 18 May 2026, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, SVG University organized a Workshop on Intellectual Property Rights for Innovators & Entrepreneurs at the Assembly Hall, SVGU Campus from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
The event was successfully coordinated by Mr. Ashutosh Trivedi and attended by MCA Semester 3 students of SVG University.
The expert speaker, Adv. Darshi Mankad – Managing Associate, Y.J Trivedi & Co. and LL.M Gold Medalist, delivered an insightful session on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).
The session highlighted the importance of IP protection, trademarks, copyrights, patents, and brand protection strategies for innovators and startup entrepreneurs.
Participants received a detailed understanding of the trademark filing process, opposition procedures, cancellation scenarios, and IP licensing agreements.
Special emphasis was given to startup-focused IP strategies, copyright protection for software and creative works, and global IP portfolio management.
The interactive Q&A session encouraged students to discuss real-world challenges and gain practical legal guidance directly from the expert.
Overall, the event was highly informative and impactful, reinforcing SVG University’s vision of “Empowering Innovators Through Intellectual Property” and promoting awareness about safeguarding intellectual assets.
